Our History

Where rituals find their rest

Rituals related to death must be performed for the peace and rest of the soul. Punjabi Bagh Shamshan Bhoomi remains a place of purity that souls can touch after cremation. Established in 1967, the Punjabi Bagh Cremation Ground is one of the most preferred places in Delhi for cremation and the related death rituals (Antim Sanskar).

At the entry, an idol of Lord Shiva creates a feeling of divinity and calm. During cremation, with a heavy heart, His presence helps reduce the pain. Hindus value rituals on and around the cremation day, and a place where everything can be done without hassle indeed brings peace and relief to family members of the deceased.
